Tiger Girl in "The Winged Demons of Doom" (Fiction House;1947)

Tiger Girl (aka Princess Vishnu) returns to the Catacombs in "The Winged Demons of Doom" from Fight Comics #52 (Oct.1947); originally published by Fiction House. Written by "Allan O'Hara" and illustrated by Matt Baker (assisted by the Iger Shop pair of Jack Kamen and/or Al Feldstein). The story title was taken from the front cover blurb. The Catacombs is grateful to Don "Zu-Gogo" Falkos for providing the scans for this story. Note: The copyright for this issue, its contents and artwork belongs to the original publisher and/or creators and is reproduced here solely for entertainment purposes. Enjoy!

Check out the big pin-up panel on page 2. Tiger Girl's right upper arm has disappeared! The right forearm is in the proper position to be washing her left shoulder, but nothing connects it to her body. In fact her right shoulder is drawn as if her arm were hanging at her side.

Since Matt Baker knew perfectly well how to draw arms, the right upper arm must have been pasted over by editorial decree. But why? The only reason I could think of was would be to conceal excess bare breast. However her forearm and hand already cover the interesting bits and besides, Fiction House seldom worried about excess flesh. Anyone have an opinion?
